بلوچستان میں جبری گمشدگی جیسے سنگین انسانی مسئلے کو کبھی جھوٹ اور من گھڑت قرار دیا جاتا ہے، کبھی کہا جاتا ہے کہ یہ لوگ لاپتہ نہیں بلکہ پہاڑوں پر چلے گئے ہیں، اور کبھی اس مسئلے کے وجود ہی سے انکار کر دیا جاتا ہے۔ اور ایک ہفتے کے اندر اندر انہی حکومتی نمائندوں کی جانب سے جبری گمشدگیوں کے مسئلے پر مختلف اور متضاد بیانات دئے گئے ہیں۔

دس دن قبل وزیراعلیٰ نے بیان دیا کہ 2 فروری کے بعد کسی کو جبری طور پر لاپتہ نہیں کیا جائے گا۔ یہ بیان بذاتِ خود اس حقیقت کا اعتراف تھا کہ بلوچستان میں برسوں سے جبری گمشدگیاں ہوتی رہی ہیں۔

اس کے برعکس، ایک ہفتہ قبل وزیر خواجہ آصف نے کہا کہ مسنگ پرسنز کا مسئلہ سراسر فراڈ ہے اور اس کا کوئی وجود ہی نہیں۔
جبکہ پاکستان کے وزیرِ قانون اعظم نذیر تارڑ نے ہفتے کے روز اعلان کیا کہ وفاقی حکومت جبری طور پر لاپتہ افراد کے دیرینہ مسئلے کی مزید تحقیقات کے لیے ایک نئی کمیٹی تشکیل دے رہی ہے۔

کل آصم�� جہانگیر کانفرنس میں رانا ثناء اللہ نے نہ صرف اس سنگین مسئلے کو مرغی اور انڈے جیسی غیر سنجیدہ مثال سے جوڑ کر کم اہم ظاہر کرنے کی کوشش کی بلکہ یہ بھی واضح الفاظ میں کہا کہ جب تک بلوچستان میں دہشتگردی ہے، جبری گمشدگیاں ہوتی رہیں گی۔ یہ بیان خود اس بات کا اعتراف ہے کہ بلوچستان میں جبری گمشدگیاں ہو رہی ہیں اور آئندہ بھی جاری رہیں گی۔

یہ بات ایک اس بیٹی کے سامنے کہی گئی جس کے والد گزشتہ سترہ برسوں سے جبری طور پر لاپتہ ہیں اور وہ انکی واپسی کی راہ دیکھ رہی ہیں اور اسی بیٹی کے ساتھ اور دیگر گمشدہ افراد کے لواحقین سے ستمبر 2022 میں رانا ثناء اللہ اور اعظم نذیر تارڑ نے کوئٹہ ریڈ زون میں دھرنے کے دوران ملاقات کی تھی۔ اس ملاقات میں لواحقین کے دکھ درد کو سمجھنے کا دعویٰ کیا گیا، ایک کمی��ن بھی قائم کیا گیا اور واضح الفاظ میں وعدہ کرکے یقین دہانی کرائی گئی کہ آئندہ جبری گمشدگیاں نہیں ہوں گی، جس شخص پر بھی الزام ہے اسے عدالت کے سامنے پیش کیا جائے گا اور قانون کے مطابق شفاف ٹرائل کیا جائے گا۔

مگر کل میرے سامنے یہ کہا گیا کہ اگر کسی کو اٹھایا جائے گا تو اسے قانون کے مطابق ڈیل نہیں کیا جائے گا۔ اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ جس آئین اور قانون کی بالادستی کی بات کی ��اتی ہے، خود ایک وفاقی وزیر اس کی نفی کر رہا ہے۔

بطور ایک ایسی بیٹی جس کا والد جبری طور پر لاپتہ ہے، کیا میں یہ امید بھی نہ رکھوں کہ ہمارے پیاروں کو آئین اور قانون کے مطابق ٹریٹ کیا جائے گا؟ جب ایک وزیر خود آئین کی عملداری پر سوال اٹھا دے تو عام شہری انصاف کی امید کس سے رکھے؟ اور آج انہی وعدوں کی نفی خود حکومتی بیانات سے ہو رہی ہے۔

جبری گمشدگیوں کے مسئلے پر ریاست اور ریاست سرگردان ہے حکومتی نمائندے خود شدید تضاد اور کنفیوژن کا شکار ہیں۔ کبھی اس مسئلے کو مکمل طور پر جھٹلایا جاتا ہے اور کبھی دہشتگردی کے نام پر اسے جائز قرار دینے کی کوشش کی جاتی ہے۔ مگر یہ جبری گمشدگیاں ریاست کے ماتھے پر سیاہ دھبہ بن چکی ہیں اور جب تک اس مسئلے کو سنجیدگی سے حل نہیں کیا گیا ہے اس پر بات ہوتی رہے گی، حکومتی نمائندے اس مسئلے کو جیسے چاہیں جھٹلائیں یا جائز قرار دیں اس مسئلے کو حل کئے بغیر بری الزمہ نہیں ہوسکتے ہیں۔

Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha were arrested today while going towards a courtroom. That fact alone should trouble anyone who still believes access to justice exists in Pakistan.

For Baloch, this scene is painfully familiar. We have watched our loved ones leave home to comply with the law and vanish before reaching it. We have stood outside courts being told there is “no information,” while knowing exactly who took them and why. What is happening to Imaan and Hadi today follows the same disregard for human dignity.

They were on their way to face trial. The state stopped them before they could arrive. The court then warned that their right to defend themselves would be taken away if they failed to appear.

Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha are being targeted for standing with the disappeared, for insisting that Baloch suffering is not a footnote, and for refusing to accept that silence is the price of survival. Their arrest is a warning to anyone who crosses the invisible line between observing injustice and naming it.

We reject this use of the courts as instruments of intimidation. We demand their immediate release and the full restoration of their legal rights. And we say this clearly: a system that blocks the road to court and then punishes people for not reaching it is not broken. It is working exactly as it was built to work.

Balochistan has been living inside that truth for a long time. Now those who spoke for us are being made to walk through it.

بنگلہ دیش میں عورتوں کی عصمت دری تاریخ کے ہولناک داستانوں میں رقم ہے جہاں اس وحشی ریاست نے بنگلہ دیش میں خواتین کے ساتھ اذیت ناک سلوک کیا ہے۔ لہٰذا اسی لیے ہم کو ماضی کی داستانوں میں حیوانی جنونیت کو سمجھ کر ریاست کو ایک اور بنگلہ دیش جیسے سانحے کا موقع دینے سے پہلے ہی ہمیں سخت سیاسی مزاحمت کرنا ہوگا۔ ہمیں اس ریاست کو ماضی کی داستانوں کو دہرانے کی ہرگز اجازت نہیں دینی چاہیے۔ بلوچ قوم کو غیرت کی خاطر مرنے والے قوم کا تاریخی اعزاز حاصل ہے لہٰذا بے حسی کی بجائے تاریخی مزاحمت اور اپنی قومی تشخص کی حفاظت ہماری نسل کا اہم امتحان ہے۔

@Mahzeb_Shafiq has been struggling for her uncle for the past seven years. During this time, she has faced constant threats, harassment, arrests, and repeated attempts at arrest. Yet she did not stop, because she always knew that what she was doing was right and necessary.
Her struggle for her uncle has now cost her even more, the abduction of her father.
At just 17 years old, Mahzaib has endured brutal state violence. Her native village, Zehri in Khuzdar, has been under siege for months, with an unimaginable state crackdown. Since 1 December, a woman named Farzana has been abducted by state forces from Khuzdar and her whereabouts remain unknown.
What justice means is something this family does not know nor do the Baloch people.

On December 17, the High Court heard the bail applications of Dr. Mahrang Baloch and other leaders of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), with both the defence and prosecution presenting their arguments.

During the proceedings, defence counsel presented their case in full. In contrast, the prosecution failed to place any concrete evidence or factual material on record to justify the continued detention of the BYC leadership. No credible proof was produced to substantiate the allegations against these peaceful political activists.

Upon conclusion of the arguments, the court reserved its judgment.

At this stage, the matter rests squarely with the judiciary. This is no longer merely a question of bail; it has become a test of judicial independence, constitutional commitment, and moral courage. The court’s decision will determine whether judicial institutions function independently or serve as instruments to suppress peaceful political expression.

For the people of Balochistan, the outcome of this case will be deeply significant. Any silence, delay, or denial of relief in the absence of evidence will further reinforce concerns that legal processes are being misused against those advocating for justice, dignity, and fundamental human rights.

History does not only record acts of oppression; it also remembers the moments when institutions chose compliance over justice. The judiciary now stands at such a crossroads.
