The escrow gives the market predictability about distribution of Ripple’s large % ownership but that percentage is steadily declining with each monthly release and the amount not relocked. Further, each month the percentage that Ripple holds in escrow reduces in proportion to circulating supply. Whatever else you can say about the escrow it has not stopped the market keeping XRP in the top 10 cryptos by market cap for almost 9 years since the escrow accounts were first secured. It is one of several key certainties about XRP and markets like certainties.
