I used to own a Kawasaki KE175 (1982), Yamaha RX125 (1982), Suzuki TS250 (1981), Honda CD200 (1980), and Honda CD175 (1980). I had all five in 1982.

After five of my friends died in separate accidents three of them on these very bikes and I was severely injured myself, literally coming back from the dead, I decided to get rid of all of them. Never owned a bike after that.

What is being presented as a “security measure” is, in reality, an arbitrary disruption of public life. Blocking all public transport to and from Islamabad at such short notice apparently to facilitate a state function has left weddings cancelled, travel plans disrupted, and thousands of ordinary citizens bearing the cost.

Security cannot become a blanket justification for disproportionate restrictions. If the state cannot conduct a function without effectively paralysing civilian movement, perhaps the function itself needs reconsideration.

There is nothing “responsible” about imposing collective hardship for administrative convenience.

Utterly irrational, disproportionate, and deeply insensitive governance.

Whoever is pushing this utterly ridiculous narrative is simply not fit for the job. He should be shown the door immediately and replaced with someone who actually knows what they’re doing. The bigger problem, though, is that I don’t see a single competent person anywhere in sight.
