The only thing I can see being applicable is since it was behind a pay wall they could argue it's harming their profit by supplementing the demand

(2 clarify my poor wording) I suspect that the fbi will still be contacting him, it's just how local, state, and federal agencies have procedure set so info isn't lost or resources wasted between orgs etc

@GomaaUSEgypt @_earbar @TizzyEnt @fsareshwala I think that was a misunderstanding, if it's on a plane at all (over water or not) it is federal and the fbi or air Marshall's should be the ones to address it. They might've been able to detain him legally until fbi arrived but it doesn't mean they won't still pursue charges.
