@unclebobmartin@sarahtexe Hi, Bob, the local Republicans here are working on underfunding the county school system. If they don’t do the required matching they’ll lose state funding. So who’s going to pay for education?
@DybingRoy@unclebobmartin I’m ideologically aligned with theoretical socialism. Just not any actual socialism I’ve seen. The problem with socialism is its swift tendency towards communism. The problem with communism is absolute power corrupts absolutely. Capitalism & social Darwinism are modern problems.
@unclebobmartin When it comes to socialism there’s never been a truly “socialist” system that properly addresses the unipartisan eventuality and the corruption that is caused by the consolidation of exec powers. Marx expected a utopia to rise from revolution and worker demands to be met firstly.
@unclebobmartin If it were socialism then that would be true: resources would be used for the common good. But for oligarchies and fascists masquerading as “socialists,” then sure you can expect corruption. The problem is that socialism is merely a conjecture which has never manifested properly.
@ChargePointnet In good consciousness I can’t support putting your chargers on any unsuspecting business. You claim you hold $50 for AC, $75 for DC per session. I quit using your network except at home following the announcement. I can’t see why we need this when Electrify America uses deposits.
@unclebobmartin@CaryKelly11 I used to respect you more than I do today. They forced us to learn your methodology. But I can’t see past the flamboyant arrogance right now. What ever happened to if you don’t have something nice to say then don’t say anything at all? Before long I’ll be burning your books.
@theo Meta AI blocked me after we were trying to alter the way my EOL Netgear switch boots up. I would much rather have an LLM locally without bs restrictions.
@unclebobmartin@garybernhardt I’ve been programming since I was 9. I’m 45 now. Never once have I had a job in software development. It would be nice but I’ve sort of given up on the fantasy of having a real job so now I just Doordash for those who do.
@unclebobmartin I think it’s crazy that some people hoard billions of dollars then refuse to pay a livable wage to those they scalp it from. Hoarding “taxes” the system and prevents the trickle down effect Raegan was talking about from happening. & some of them don’t even risk their own capital.
