🚨 Rick Switzer, US Deputy Trade Minister, just called it what it is.

He said it’s “political malpractice” for Canada’s Prime Minister to make this relationship personal and pit himself against the US President — any President.

Not because Trump is perfect. Because 80% of our exports go to the United States. Millions of Canadian jobs depend on that relationship. Geography wins. We’re not moving.

Carney keeps telling Canadians he’s “standing up” to the US.

What he’s actually doing is shutting Canada out of the room while he protects his own ego.

The biggest barrier to fixing this isn’t Donald Trump.

It’s Mark Carney’s ego.

Standing up for Canada doesn’t mean refusing to sit at the table. It means defending Canadian workers and getting the best deal possible — like grown-ups do.

This is what “Canada Strong” looks like when your Prime Minister would rather be right than effective.

Ryan Williams (Conservative MP for Bay of Quinte) just nailed the biggest problem in Parliament right now.

Question Period is supposed to be the one hour a day where the government is forced to answer for what they’re doing to Canadians.

Instead, it’s become almost useless.

The Speaker won’t make the Prime Minister or ministers actually answer the question asked. They dodge, pivot to condolences, heritage months, or whatever statement they feel like giving that day.

Williams put it perfectly: if they aren’t made to answer even for that single hour in a Parliament that sits 16+ hours a day, then Parliament itself stops being relevant to democracy.

This didn’t start with Carney — but it’s gotten worse under him. The dodge-and-weave has become the entire strategy.

We don’t need more committees or more empty words.

We need a Speaker who actually enforces the rules: **Answer the damn question.**

Until that happens, everything else is theatre.

This Canadian girl just said what millions are thinking but are too afraid to say out loud.

“Can somebody please tell me how we’re still calling Canada a free country?”

Then she laid out the receipts:

- We can’t access certain news channels without the government or platforms getting in the way.
- We can’t even pray in peace without someone trying to shut it down.
- Don’t fill out the census? Get fined.
- Someone breaks into your house? You can’t defend yourself properly — you can’t even hurt them without risking jail.
- We can’t own guns to protect our families.
- The government now decides what your kids can see on social media — not you.
- And we don’t even get to decide what goes into our own bodies… or our babies’.

This isn’t freedom.
This is a managed population.

Year after year, the Liberals chipped away at it — one “reasonable” restriction at a time — until regular Canadians started asking the question this woman is asking.

Mark Carney and the people running this country didn’t inherit a free nation.
They inherited one they could control.

And they’ve been very busy.

If this still feels like “Canada” to you, you’re either not paying attention… or you’re part of the problem.

Dear Premier Smith,

A referendum to have a referendum… after two justices told you, you could call Mitch Sylvestre’s question under Section 1 of the Referendum Act is hardly decisive or honest leadership.

On Thursday you lied to everyone in Alberta when you falsely claimed you couldn’t use either Lukaszuk’s question or Mitch’s question because of “the courts”. The courts in fact said the opposite.

Chief Alan Adam had his picture taken SIGNING the Lukaszuk petition. How would he oppose THAT question.

The simple fact is that you promised Mark Carney that there wouldn’t be a vote on independence this year. By stabbing 301,620 of YOUR VOTERS in the back you delivered on the promise as part of the package to sell out Alberta for a Chinese pipeline to Asia. No binary choice for Albertans as you promised. Only political sleight of hand.

You have lost the ability to refer to yourself as “Right Honourable” . You have lost the moral authority to lead the UCP.

Please resign.
