i really think BTS need to take another long break to truly recharge & figure out exactly what it is they want out of their lives & careers. jumping straight back into releasing albums & touring immediately after something as traumatic as military service was a terrible mistake.
very hypocritical of women to weaponise terms like "performative" & "parasocial" against other women who are simply expressing genuine disappointment in an action of a public figure theyve supported for years. pls reflect on why youre defending silence and critisising expression.
continuing to ignore this entire situation makes it all the more heartbreaking. the loudest voices cheering you on are the voices of women, @bts_twt. to ignore those very same voices, the people who have supported you and propelled you and your career forward, is inexcusable.
We’ve now reached the point where Chris Brown is online calling a female Army a hoe, and he absolutely believes BTS is on his side.
Congratulations BTS, congratulations Boy Mom Armys, I hope you’re all happy with the type of fandom space you’ve created
i truly wish everyone wasn’t so divided on this issue because this is when we need to become one voice more than ever. how is it that we are now at a point where people are trying to dictate how others should be feeling , especially DV / SA victims ?
ik i’ve been raging over the past 2 days & i feel as a woman reconstructing my new relationship w bts i owe myself that, so it may come across as dismissing some of their good acts/past actions etc. i think that’s necessary when unlearning something. they’re not manipulative ppl+
A lot of the misogyny around this fandom from outsiders has always been the assumption that we’re a bunch of silly girls who only care about looking at hot guys. Turns out we actually were intelligent women who cared about their character and message!
you don’t love someone by watching them continue to make harmful decisions and staying silent. you love them by wanting them to do and be better. it really is that easy to understand that us holding bts accountable is out of love. disappointment, hurt, and anger, but still love
"si apoyas un black ocean eres anti" lo q soy es una mujer AGOTADA Y ENFADADA. porq siempre nos tenemos q quedar calladas para no incomodar. porq siempre tenemos q ser respetuosas incluso cuando se burlan de nosotras. porq "no es para tanto" alzar a abusadores.
it’s been not even 3 days and no change has happened or apologies made and educating done. i’d argue we aren’t dragging it enough. shit doesn’t end till a positive change is made. performative as hell is if you spoke up for one day and went “okay that’s enough activism for me”
