2: He briefed me about on-going projects, future and their achievements so far under the able leadership of the Gov of Kaduna State @ubasanius
Let me be brief:
3: Foundation of the Ministry: The Gov @ubasanius increased the allocation to the Ministry from N1bn as it was before to N23bn to tackle food production and insecurity.
4: Kaduna produces 22% of Nigeria’s maize & 10% of groundnuts. They produce cotton, shea nuts, ginger & peppers, vegetables grown in the riverine flood pains, brown sugar processed locally from sugar cane; onions and soya beans.
5: The Gov has embarked on rural farm access roads for farmers. I have shared it before.
6: Youth Involvement: The Ministry has increased their participation from 0.5hectares to 5/6 hectares as small holder farmers providing them with equipment.
7: Mechanization: Govt is in partnership with Agric Cooperative society by providing them with tractors and threshers etc.
8: Ginger Production: no one can beat kaduna state in terms of Ginger. They have been exporting Ginger since 60s. Even the HC’s father is a Ginger farmer. If you dey Kaduna and you no get Ginger farm, abeg, go and get one.
9: Access to Finance for All year farming: they have 13 irrigated dilapidated centers that they are currently renovating. Therefore, govt is promoting Public Private Partnership. 10,000 hectares fully irrigated dam that they can share cost.
10: Livestock is by providing 30,000 hectares of Pastures. Providing vaccination etc. From their program, we will reduce importation of milk.
11: Training of 10,000 extension workers are currently going on.

On Thursday, 2nd May 2024, the Commissioner, @dabomuri, flagged off the distribution of farm inputs and agro-processing machines to 300 beneficiaries in Kachia LGA under the Tallafin Noma (A Koma Gona) of His Excellency @ubasanius administration.

Yesterday 14/03/24, the Commissioner, @dabomuri and the Permanent Secretary, Abubakar Abba led the Ministry's Management team on a field visit, inspection, monitoring and evaluation exercise covering 5 LGAs (Kubau, Kaduna North, Zaria, Sabon Gari and Kaduna South). @GovKaduna
The team also inspected the 12km Giwa - Yakawada - Ung. Liman rural access road being constructed by the administration of Gov @ubasanius. This road will ease transportation problems faced by our farmers, reduced post-harvest losses and improve agricultural marketing in the State

Earlier today, we officially launched the Mallam Abdulkarim Mosque Zaria City Reconstruction Appeal Fund.
The one hundred and thirty-eight years old Mosque was built in 1885 during the reign of Malam Abdulkarim as Emir of Zazzau. In August this year, a part of the Mosque caved in, killing some worshippers and injuring many.
Today's hugely successful Appeal Fund Launching attracted top political leaders, traditional and religious Leaders, government officials, business tycoons, eminent sons and daughters of the Zazzau Emirate, and well-wishers of the Zazzau Emirate.

Today the Commissioner, @dabomuri and Commissioner of @KDSG_MBIT visited @ocpgroup fertilizer plant at Al Jadida, Morocco. OCP is the world's largest producer of phosphate with 30% market share and also one of the world's largest fertilizer manufacturers.
We are pleased to announce that the newly constructed Kwoi Market in Jaba LGA has officially been handed over and modalities for relocation of traders are in progress.
The Kwoi Market is the first of our prototype markets for rural communities and will be replicated in other local governments in line with His Excellency, Gov. Uba Sani’s SUSTAIN agenda to develop rural areas.
The prototype markets will take into consideration the low level of trade and economy in these areas and the shops therein will be significantly cheaper than those in urban areas.
