@angel_vibe4b@PrinceOf_Darkns@grok Power - Local Hydrogen Generation from the Ice
Internet - Starlink
Logistics - Build the infrastructure needed
It's plausible - probable? not likely.
@Pirat_Nation That, is completely inaccurate. The reason we stay with the games we are playing is because those games are built around that friendship and have a much higher quality of gameplay than the trash that has been put out in recent years. #MakeGamesGreatAgain
While the world obsesses over Elon Musk's net worth, the quiet truth is that the money isn't the point.
People argue endlessly about his wealth, but net worth is the loneliest metric—it means nothing in the face of reality. The real driver is something far greater: securing humanity's survival as a multi-planetary species. This isn't about personal enrichment. It's about building systems, technology, and infrastructure that outlast any one individual or economic collapse.
Too many are trapped in short-sighted greed, chasing fleeting gains while ignoring the bigger picture. History shows that civilizations fall. Catastrophes—natural or man-made—can render even the richest man's fortune worthless overnight. What endures is what we build to transcend Earth-bound fragility: sustainable energy, spacefaring capability, resilient AI, and the knowledge to thrive beyond a single planet.
The value isn't in the balance sheet. It's in the vision that dares to ask: Will humanity still be here in 100 years? 1,000? Not because of one man's wealth, but because we chose to become a species that reaches for the stars.
What are we building today that will actually matter when money no longer does?
I will forever support @SpaceX and @elonmusk vision for the future. The future I will probably not live to see, but the one that matters more than everything combined.
@MattWalshBlog While I agree with you regarding those who would use SNAP for fraudulent purposes, there are many people who are legitimately disabled who need SNAP benefits due to inability to work.
@elonmusk Always has been. Why do you think we fought them in 1770's? The difference between now and then is that instead of tea and stamps, it's social media.
@macaiyla@DiscussingFilm Honestly, it doesn't really matter. We all die within a 120 year span regardless of how much money we make. The question is what kind of legacy will you leave when you're gone? His will be remembered for generations, but not for the money.
@TheUbermensch_3@elonmusk The big thing to think about is not the statistics. It's the disparaging difference between the punishment for crimes committed. Hypothetical Example:
Local Commits Crime = 3-5 yrs prison
Immigrant Commits Crime = Community Service
I don't live there, but I do read.
Brisc - That is one of the downsides to AI really. It's not an end all be all of factual information. That would be AGI or Artificial General Intelligence which we aren't there yet. What it is, in essence, is a very powerful tool that allows you to multiply your workload. Just like having an employee. So let's say for example like @LegislativeAI stated, codex can be given access to your local files and folders. While you may spend hours scouring through files and information, codex can clear through it in a matter of minutes. The biggest problem is memory and context of what you are needing. Think of Codex as a brain with no arms, legs, spine, eyes, nothing. It's smart but it can't do anything on it's own. That's why things like Hermes Agent and OpenClaw are being actively developed. To accommodate for what you are describing is lacking in AI today. If you ever want to discuss it hit me up. I'd be happy to talk to you about it. Not sure if you're still in Init or not as I have been out of the EvE scene for a while, but I still keep tabs on happenings in the game and the people who were my biggest influence during my time there.
@codevsdev It was kind of a natural progression. Some guy figured out how to convert human writing into machine language and voila. The first code was born then people copied it.
@ThrillaRilla369 Yeah, so I'm just going to keep living my life until the point that I can't. What am I gonna do about it? Until I know why it's here it's just a cool ship that says, "Yeah, we're real. Do something..."
