If you're on Bluesky, I'm giving it a go as https://t.co/RBaUHp4nTJ - I'll still be using Substack notes because I use Substack for my weekly summary-of-the-world-and-everything, but no harm in trying many things.
In DC (surprisingly) for most of the weekend with a lot of spare time (but still a bad ankle). Reach out if you know me and are there and want to grab a meal or something.
(if you know my email, use that; I don't really use Twitter anymore)
@strxwmxn Feels more like a personality test type thing, although I suspect a society run by people who answer one way versus the other would have different politics maybe.
Francis Suarez is not qualified to be POTUS for the same reason "Mayor Pete" was not qualified. With the only possible exception of NYC (and even that's just a maybe), if you're just a mayor (or lack any elected political experience at all), you have no business running for POTUS
@jjm_now Yes. What other options does he have?
If you were the mayor of NYC, what would you do, within the constraints of the law, knowing that you're not a dictator and that we have a lot of varying local politics here.
If you look into what Adams has done, it's pretty reasonable.
@jjm_now Yes. I don't have strong feelings about Adams; he's not great, but he's okay on this issue, and you've bought into hysteria about "Marxism". It's laughable and it makes it impossible to take you seriously.
@jjm_now If you ever want to touch base with reality, it shouldn't be hard for you to do so.
1) Adams has criticised policies that have led to the flow of migrants.
2) We don't have an "installed marxist regime"
3) There's no such thing as "sheeple"
Stop being ridiculous.
@jjm_now It's like you haven't been paying any attention at all to anything he's said on this topic.
He's been very critical, publicly, of the Biden administration on this topic. Even though the Biden administration itself has broken pretty firmly from the progressives. Follow the news.
@sallylepage I hope most of us generally find each other on the other side of however all this works out. I've mostly left Twitter (active on Substack Notes, but less so), might give Bluesky a go.
I admire what you've done in science communications, and thanks for helping name a lovely puppy
