It is interesting how hard it was to publish this paper. To my surprise, it was hard to convince reviewers that sidestepping with an elastic band around the forefeet DOES NOT result in an external hip moment of medial rotation. 1/2
Have you heard/read in the clinical literature that "excessive activation of TFL" contributes to hip medial rotation during functional activities? ๐ง Here we show evidence that seems to point to a lateral (not medial) hip rotator role for the TFL muscle.
