As someone who went to one for six years, you either do drugs, sex or join a religious cult. You need something to help you face the madness in front of you.
Korty shares the hilarious and most embarrassing moment of her life after she was admitted to the hospital and had to receive an injection in her buttocks, only to discover that the doctor giving her the injection was her fan and follower. 😭😂
Mark Zuckerberg was 22 when Yahoo offered $1 billion for Facebook, and his own team wanted him to take it. He went to Steve Jobs instead.
Jobs told him to go to India.
In the video below, Zuckerberg tells India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi what happened next.
"This is a story that I haven't told publicly and very few people know."
Facebook was 2 years old, with about 10 million users. Zuckerberg said no to Yahoo.
It was a tough patch, he says. A lot of people wanted to buy Facebook and thought he should sell.
So he went to one of his mentors, Steve Jobs.
Jobs told him to visit the temple in India he had gone to while figuring out what Apple should be.
Zuckerberg traveled for almost a month. It "reinforced for me the importance of what we were doing."
For early employees with stock, a $1 billion sale is a life-changing payout. Saying no means years of waiting, maybe for nothing.
Within a year of saying no to Yahoo, his entire management team had quit.
He never sold. Today Meta is worth over $1.4 trillion.
Yahoo offered $1 billion.
Steve Jobs offered a temple.
Would you have taken $1 billion at 22, or the ticket to India?

This whole pharm discourse is funny 😂
Cause Drs know that pharmacists are the rightful owners of the pharm title, they are just showing pharmacists how titles can be very misleading in healthcare.
@Charlesmarist_N People with doctorate degrees have been called doctors from the dawn of time and medical doctors never complained.
The issue started when other healthcare workers also want to be called doctors in the hospital knowing fully well that it is misleading to patients.
If a nurse can have Nr. as prefix
If a MLS can have Mls as prefix
If a physiotherapist can have PT as prefix
If a radiographer can have Rad. as prefix
If a pharmacist can add Pharm. as prefix
Then I see no reason why a pharmacologist cannot have "Pharm" as their prefix as well.
What matters is that they do not confuse patients and introduce themselves appropriately.
For example they can say I am Pharm. Chidi Benjamin Oma, a pharmacologist
The pharm here stands for abbreviation of pharmacology which he actually studied in school.
Pls let's stop gate keeping titles, healthcare is more of a multidisciplinary approach as applicable in advanced climes.
