3 years into the genocide initiated by Israel in Palestine, the number of reported people killed has passed 74,000 and over 175,000 injured — a culmination of decades of ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

Genuinely not as disappointed in Mamdani as I am at all those who refuse to hold elected officials feet to the fire.
He has absolutely no incentive to deliver on the demands of the Palestine movement if we don’t relentlessly make those demands. Meanwhile, Zionist organizations are doing exactly that, applying pressure and getting more and more of what they want, while people who claim to be on the left or support Palestine tell us our strategy should be to shut up.
It’s absurd. You see that political pressure works. You see Zionist organizations using it to advance their interests. Yet somehow when Palestinians do that, in the context of a genocide no less, we’re accused of doing AIPAC’s job for them.
There is nothing Zionist organizations would like more than for the Palestine liberation movement to silence ourselves while politicians endlessly cater to their demands.
But what infuriates me even more is being lectured by Americans whose tax dollars are funding the weapons slaughtering my people. People who not only refuse to hold their own politicians accountable or do more to stop the genocide, but have the audacity to tell Palestinians to shut up about it.
You don’t get to sit comfortably in the country financing the slaughter of our people, refuse to hold your own politicians accountable, and then lecture us about how we’re allowed to resist it.
You either die an air humping leather daddy pirate or you live long enough to see yourself become an advice columnist for morbidly agnostic etsy-goths.
I’m trying to stay off of here until the Cat Power video is off my timeline because I will get banned. Changed my life and I will change yours if you do not agree
For a while now, Spotify's been animating the cover art of albums, which I love. You don't just want to listen to Ornette Coleman; you want to watch his ghola rotate his head 90 degrees and stare at you through dead eyes, again and again.
Marc Lamont Hill on Ed Sheeran's new speech:
What could he do? HE COULD NOT SHOW UP. He could say, it's him or me.
No one's asking you to be an activist musician. They're asking you to be a decent person.
People had the option in the 1950s/60s of not playing Jim Crow.
this is a vile disgusting genocide-laundering Israel lobby J-Street script that was handed to him. Begins with and centers October 7 and "centuries of Jewish pain", laundering the genocidal lie that it was about targeting Jews instead of a mass murdering genocidal apartheid occupation death-cult that turned Gaza into the world's biggest concentration camp with routine actual massacres of children, women and men, not the Hannibal Directive rape-soldier and police inflated 1200 figure, all of which he entirely erases by pretending it all started on October 7. And then still refusing to recognize the genocide and instead using genocide-laundering "both sides, conflict" hasbara.
Fuck Ed Sheeran. He is a degenerate depraved scumbag piece of shit who would never dare say this about Ukraine or any other case where the entire media and political class determined that it was the Moral and Just cause, meaning that it involves zero risk to him and his half a billion dollars.
KAEPERNICK: The part that I hope people take away in this moment is what Robert Kraft and what they’re saying by denying Macklemore the opportunity to perform with Ed Sheeran is they are willing to collude. They are openly colluding.
When we filed the grievance, it was like, well, the owners wouldn’t do that. Everybody just wants to win within the NFL. And the realization is, no. They want to protect their interests. They want to protect their power. They want to protect their money. And they also want people to know that if you take an action that they don’t agree with, they will come for you. And that was some of the warning coming out of the protest and some of the warning coming out of the grievance, is that they will organize against you. Which means that we collectively have to organize to be able to protect our interests as well.
Marc Lamont Hill tore into Robert Kraft’s defense of barring Macklemore from Gillette Stadium, saying that treating“Free Palestine” as anti-Jewish echoes claims that Black Lives Matter was “anti-white.”
Hill also explained how Kraft’s language about “innocent Palestinians” draws a line between Palestinians deemed worthy of sympathy and those who resist occupation: “They admire the ones that don’t throw the rock.”
“The oppressor acts reasonable by saying, ‘Let’s split the pie.’ But it’s not your pie… every time I say, ‘How are we going to split the pie?’ I take another slice.”
