@DunPoliticing@theAliceRoberts@BBCr4today If the HMRC went after tax avoidance & the government closed loopholes for millionaires, billionaires & corporations then we would see large hikes in the public purse without needing to increase taxes on even high earners, nevermind low-middle income workers.
@JonathanHannah@BrentLeeSDCIC @SiHulbert Which is what allows you to see the structure inside...
Do you think that they add reinforcement on each floor individually? Wouldn't that just make the building heavier on the overall struts & increase the chances of the building topling sideways into pieces like a giant jenga?
@Angelsfeartogo This is why metalheads are the best. I have seen this happen in person, and the fella in the wheelchair was not a small bloke!
That was the same festival where Exodus got a kid up on stage & put a guitar on him, then played over the kid's shoulder ๐๐ค
@Humdinger12345@MatthewStadlen@CharlotteCGill Is this to prove the point that when Labour were in charge they weren't doing something about it? Because you responded to a post that said they were doing something about it. Then the tories stopped doing something about it.
So you agree the Tories are the issue, then?
@knowledge_fight Sorry in advance for staring at you across the room at QED. I did the same last year to Noah & co from the PiaT crew. By Sunday I should have plucked up the courage to come say hello & maybe ask you to sign something for me.
@BrexitBassist@redheadlass1402 "I went to the shop & threw a tantrum because the lady wanted me to do it but I can't do it and need help!" Like a grownup would.
"I paid with my pennies because paper money is more real than the money in my bank account, that is only on a screen" also like a grown up.
Have clean, wearable school uniform you no longer need? ๐
Help local families by donating to a uniform drop-off point outside Specsavers in Merseyway by 11 August. Items will be sold at a discount at a pop up shop in Merseyway from 12-19 August. All revenue is going to charity.
@Michael58233782 @f1junkyardDog @PollockMarrazzo @JamesCleverly Oh, well. That excuses everything then! A labour government did a thing I disagree with 20 years ago, therefore every travesty inflicted by the tories for the past 13 don't count. Glad you cleared that up.
@lisakeb007@chrisca13427514@daraobriain No it isn't. He no longer meets the terms of service. Once his mortgage ended, he had insufficient funds to keep his premium account. Also he's a POS. For both these reasons, they decided to close his account & offer him a natwest one. Totally normal.
@mattjbjohnson@pitman_lucy@daraobriain There is no regulation for "you have to let people bank with you, even if they are awful"
He could have had a natwest account, but he wanted the privilege of a courts account. He isn't entitled to that. He isn't entitled to keep it because he had it before, either.
@RishiSunak But they weren't, were they? He was very obviously still able to access basic services. He wanted premium services. What about the free market? Are private businesses not allowed to decide who they do and don't want to do business with? Also why are you wasting your time on this?
@RishiSunak So does this mean you are going to make it so homeless people must be given a bank account?
Oh, wait.. no? You only care about rich riggtwingers that are struggling to access banking services? Yeah, thought so...
