Nigeria Win FIBA Women’s Afrobasket. Nigeria defeated arch-rivals Senegal 84-74 points in Kigali, Rwanda to win a fourth FIBA Women’s Afrobasket title on the bounce. The match which was a remake of the 2019 final at the Dakar Arena saw D’Tigress assert themselves as the best in Africa. Murjanatu Musa registered 12 rebounds and 2 steals while Ifunaya Okoro scored 16 points and provided two assists to power Nigeria to a 6th title on the Continent while record champions Senegal’s wait for a 12th title continues.
