@danbarker@RachelReevesMP How dare you accuse Labour of wrongdoing!
One man’s ego and another man’s ego. Both being serviced at massive taxpayer expense.
@mehdirhasan@ZackPolanski The goal is, and has always been, the removal of Iranian backed terrorists who refuse to engage in peaceful living alongside Israel. You know this, we all know this. Everything else is anti-Jewish propaganda.
@BenKentish Cutting infrastructure directly impacts growth and impacts everyone’s lives. Looking at ways to reduce the welfare bill, get more people into work and redirect funding to other priorities is absolutely the right approach. You cannot tell me that the welfare state is out of hand.
The South already subsidised The North (and the East and the West, and Wales, and Scotland). Labour stoking more division isn’t going to make Britain Great Again.
The only benefit to Streeting chickening-out and following the fool from the North is that the markets Burno hates so much will likely be less volatile. Until he starts policymaking. Better lock a mortgage rate in asap. Fed-up with ego-politics in the UK.
If you voted for Starmer expecting some big changes and more competence, you can be accused of unrealistic optimism. If you vote for Burnham expecting the same you’re a fool. The UK is going to become much worse under his pie-in-the-sky leadership. Another decade wasted.
Starmer failed because he thought that government was easy, he had no plan, a big majority but no mandate to do anything, and backbenchers unwilling to support difficult but necessary policies.
Swapping him for Burnham won’t change any of those things.
@DickWinchester@ClaireCoutinho His entire career could be summarised “I think Ed is missing a trick here”. Perhaps a good working title for his memoirs
@ClaireCoutinho All that the younger Miliband has achieved is fail after fail. He is 100% wrong on this topic and I dread a Government which sees his champagne socialism hands on the Treasury. Whilst Ed and family live a life of luxury, he expects everyone else to pay for Labours absurd ideas.
Happy Fathers Day to all fathers who do good. Especially to those fighting for the safety and futures of their kids in Ukraine. To fathers who do not, ask yourself how you can live with yourselves. Will you be able to look your kids in the eye and live with your actions?
A father is all about protection and safety. And today, this has taken on an even deeper meaning, because Ukrainian fathers are protecting not only their children, but also the very possibility of a safe future.
Being a dad in Ukraine today takes a special kind of courage. And a special kind of love. We thank all Ukrainian dads for their care and strength. All those who defend Ukraine and who do everything possible every day for their families and children. Those who teach, inspire, and support.
May every Ukrainian family have what we are fighting for: a peaceful and safe future.
Happy Father’s Day!
Rachel Reeves is about to lose her job.
Let's hope she takes it with the same indifference she treated:
- Hospitality workers
- Farmers
- Shopkeepers
- Small businesses
The last thing UK business and citizens need is more turmoil. We need consistency and stability, neither of which @UKLabour have provided. That was at the core of their manifesto. To not do what previous @Conservatives had done before them. Yet here we are, paying the price.
This self-indulgent ego-driven @UKLabour is throwing yet more distraction and disruption into an already fragile economy. Burnham’s not the saviour of this nation, he’ll be as bad, or worse than the current incumbent. Watch the bond markets and FTSE tomorrow…
