Seek understanding.

When you don't understand the first principles of something it becomes difficult to have a proper conversation and ignorance makes you start chasing shadows while you leave the real substance.

First principles are fundamental, foundational truths or axioms that cannot be deduced from any other proposition. It is a problem-solving method that involves breaking down complex issues into their most basic, undeniable truths—essentially, what we know to be true—and reasoning up from there, rather than relying on analogy, convention, or assumption.

Without understanding the first principles you start arguing over things that don't matter.

For example we have Peter's shadow healing the sick and then we have handkerchiefs being taken off the body of Paul to get the sick healed.

Without understanding first principles (the "science" of divine healing) a denomination can emerge over an argument on the shadow of Peter over and against handkerchiefs and pieces of cloth being taken off Paul's body for the casting out of devils and healing the sick. One may even argue that in the ministry of Jesus we didn't hear of his shadow healing any sick person.

When you don't understand the first principles every application that defers from the norm you are used to will always be treated with fear and suspicion.

Today, Pastor Poju shared some unusual insights. For example, he said, “You can spend money and still cause problems for yourself.” Hmmm!

If you are wondering what Pastor meant then here it is: “God cannot promote you to a certain level if He knows that you will start depending on the network you are connected with rather than Him.”

You can't start with God if you don't make him your source. God can only hold it open for you for a while. When you make God your source, rain begins to fall.

“That you have enough cash to buy a car does not mean you have a steady income to maintain it.” Here's another one!

You need to understand what it means for the Lord to be your Shepherd. It is a curse to wholly depend on connection; before you get any helper make sure God is your Helper.

God alone is your source. If mercy is following you, you don't miss opportunities.

We miss it when we ask God to do what we think is the best rather than asking him to show us what he has already done so we can walk in it. When we ask him to open the doors we think he should we struggle but when we ask him to open up on the earth what he intends to do at this moment in our lives we find a door that always leads to green pasture.

Righteousness is not just a status; it is the engine that produces your peace.

There is a significant difference between doing what seems right in the sight of men and doing what is actually right in the sight of God.

Pastor Poju taught that it is not just doing what you think is right; it is doing what is right by God, and the only way to do that is through effective prayer. When you prevail in the heavens, it will be easy on the earth.

The Kingdom of God in us is for us to do His will. It is defined by righteousness, peace, and the joy of the Holy Ghost. Righteousness is the ability to stand before God without a sense of guilt, and this righteousness is what produces your peace.

When you have this internal Kingdom, you are like those who recline their seats during turbulence. You can do what God sends you and be in trouble externally, but the difference is the peace within you.

God’s word must be "stretched" through prayer. Without prayer, you can't get it.

The 5 Pillars of Kingdom Prayer: To move from what "seems" right to what is "actually" right, we must exercise these five keys:

1️⃣ Relationship
2️⃣ Recognition.
3️⃣ Persistence
4️⃣ Righteousness
5️⃣ Resignation

In prayer, you reach a place where you submit totally to the will of God. A Kingdom person speaks from a prophetic perspective because they have moved past human opinion and into divine instruction.

Don't just do what seems right. Pray until God shows you what is right in His sight.

That the thing didn't go the way you thought and prayed doesn't mean it is not God who caused it to happen the way it "fell out."

If things go your way always and as you think they should, then you should be running the whole universe and not him.

We can call three people and ask them to give you their problems to carry as your load, I bet you you will run because the weight of the 3 issues together is simply unbearable.

If you can't handle just 3, why do you think God must run his things according to your own intelligence. You are beneficiary of so so much on this earth you contributed nil to making it happen, but you insist things must be your way since you are the definition of truth.

Drink some kool-aid. The world doesn't revolve around you.
