Marrying a doctor who spent countless days and sleepless nights earning that title, then expecting them to cook, clean, quit their career and give up financial independence just so you can have the upper hand in the marriage? Why are people so sick?
For people pursuing NEET PG - A general tip. Do not go by view points of doctors who run entrance coaching courses or are part of such academies. Their opinions are basically to create FOMO about difficult to get seats and central institutes. In reality, people who have done PG from other colleges have done well in their career too. Talk to doctors working in medical colleges, govt and private hospitals to get an idea. Focus on your branch. And look for clinical exposure and decent volumes. If you can get a central institute through INICET well and good. But if you can't, it is not the end of the world. Several good govt and private medical colleges and DNB courses exist. Take up a suitable one and get on with life. A patient is looking for a good empathetic and competent doctor and not the label of central institute pasted on your forehead! #MedTwitter
Doctors who are content creators need to understand this: labour rooms and OTs are workplaces specifically designed to protect patient privacy, not content studios for filming reels.
With the rise of social media, too many doctors and MBBS students have turned into creators, using hospitals, aprons and scrubs as aesthetics and patients as content.
There is nothing wrong with photography or recording when it serves a legitimate educational or clinical purpose. But it should never come at the cost of a patient’s privacy, dignity or consent.
If you need a patient’s image or video for educational purposes, obtain proper informed consent, protect their identity and respect their privacy.
Patients are human beings, not props for your content.
We just crossed a line in medicine that humanity has been walking toward for a hundred years.
For the first time, doctors can take a biopsy of your specific tumor, read its unique DNA mutations — the exact fingerprint no other cancer on earth shares — and build a custom mRNA blueprint written for one human being. Yours.
It doesn't poison the cancer. It teaches your own immune system what to hunt.
And this week, Phase 3 results confirmed it works.
Added to the best immunotherapy we already had, this individualized cancer vaccine has been dramatically cutting the odds that high-risk melanoma comes back. In the earlier data, the combination reduced the risk of recurrence or death by 49%, and the risk of the cancer spreading to distant organs by 62%, compared to the standard treatment alone. This week's Phase 3 readout confirmed the benefit holds. That is not a modest tweak. That is a different trajectory for a human life.
And melanoma is just the first door. The same approach is now in trials across lung, bladder, and kidney cancers — a whole program of them, racing forward.
Understand what this actually means, because it's bigger than one drug.
For all of history, we fought cancer with blunt weapons. Cut it out. Burn it with radiation. Flood the whole body with chemotherapy and hope the cancer dies before the patient suffers too much. We were swinging a hammer in the dark.
This is a blueprint. A weapon designed atom by atom for one person's disease, that turns their own body into the thing that finds and destroys it. We are watching medicine shift from managing cancer to hunting it.
I've spent my life as a physician, and I did not expect to see this so soon. We were told personalized cancer vaccines were a thirty-year dream. They are happening right now, in real patients, with real data, in our lifetime.
I don't say this lightly, and I say it as a doctor who knows exactly how rare these moments are: this is one of the most hopeful things to happen in the history of the field.
I woke up thinking of the words of the morning prayer — Modeh Ani — I thank You. Gratitude, the moment you open your eyes, for a soul returned and a day given. To be alive at the exact hour when human beings learned to teach the body to cure itself feels like standing inside that prayer.
We are not at the end of cancer. But we are, unmistakably, at the beginning of the end of its reign.
PSU banks can write off 35,000 Crores.
Now, don't start the write off vs waive off argument.
I say that because you don't even have the right to know who were the defaulters.
You are there just to pay taxes so that these write offs and waive offs can be compensated.
Just do you national duty.
Go to work tomorrow and earn for them.

If you don’t raise your voice against the takeover of the Neville D’Souza football ground in Bandra; you are part of the problem
Remember all the elected representatives in that area and how they let you down. And this isn’t just a local Bandra issue; it’s a sickening city-wide/national malaise
If people like this were in power in NYC, there would be no Central Park
Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a show-cause notice to Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, along with co-stars Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff, for their participation in the "Vimal Elaichi" advertisement campaign.

School kids are doing an excellent job:
This is Dombivli in Maharashtra. This cute girl says that whenever she travels on this road, she feels like she is doing bungee jumping.
She says the road has been in this condition for a long time, and no maintenance work has been done.
This area comes under youth leader @DrSEShinde.
Instead of celebrating success, NTA aspirants and their parents are forced to join protest and ensure their voices are heard. Arya Singh, a NEET aspirant who was expecting 604 marks saw her score drastically lowered to 167.
Every time a doctor is attacked on duty, we lose more than one shift. We lose the belief of a young student who once dreamed of wearing the white coat.
Our residents are running 36 hour duties that no human body was designed for. That is not dedication. That is neglect wearing the mask of duty.
Medical #NEETPG exams are often cancelled , postponed and another group of students facing failures in #FMGE exams which are not designed for the purpose
The Maharashtra incident is not one bad day. It is a symptom. And you cannot cure a disease by reacting to the symptom every time it flares.
We need strict enforcement of doctor protection laws. We need the government sector to hire more, staff properly and pay fairly. We need duty hours that respect human limits.
If we want our brightest minds to keep choosing this beautiful branch of medicine, we must protect them, value them and stand behind them.
No country becomes Viksit Bharat 2047 while quietly breaking the very people who keep its citizens alive.
