My XUV700 AX7 was delivered after service on 18 June 2026 by Automotive Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, Thoraipakkam, Chennai, with the engine oil filler cap left unsecured.
After driving 25 km through Chennai traffic, I noticed engine oil leaking underneath the vehicle. Upon opening the engine bay, I found that the oil filler cap had not been properly secured, resulting in substantial oil loss and oil contamination throughout the engine compartment.
Upon checking the dipstick, the engine oil level was found to be significantly below the minimum mark, raising serious concerns regarding the long-term reliability of the engine, turbocharger, and other lubricated components.
I immediately contacted the dealership, but my calls went unanswered. I subsequently raised RSA (Case No. X126465760IND), and the attending breakdown technician acknowledged that the oil filler cap had not been properly secured and that the vehicle had been driven approximately 25 km under these conditions.
The vehicle was towed to the service center (Automotive Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, Guindy) at around 1.30 AM on 19/06/2026 and has remained there since.
While the dealership is currently carrying out corrective actions and replacing certain affected components, I have not received any formal response from Mahindra Customer Care despite multiple escalations and two detailed emails.
This incident has significantly affected my confidence in the vehicle and has caused considerable inconvenience, disruption to my daily commute, and additional expenses.
I am not seeking anything extraordinary. I request Mahindra's direct intervention, a formal technical assessment, written findings, and an appropriate resolution considering the seriousness of this service lapse.
@anandmahindra – I bought into the Mahindra brand with trust and confidence. I request your intervention so that this matter receives the attention and resolution it deserves.

Hello @TataMotors
I purchased a Tata Nexon EV (30 kWh battery pack) on 10 February 2024 for around ₹18 Lakhs. Tata claimed a range of 325 KM, but throughout my ownership I NEVER received more than 175 KM on a full charge.
Now the condition has become even worse. My battery drains so fast that I can barely drive 90 KM per charge.
After reporting this issue, even the service center admitted there is a battery problem. At the time of purchase, Tata Motors clearly promised an 8-year / 160,000 KM battery warranty and assured us that defective batteries would be replaced with NEW ones.
But now, when the issue has actually occurred, they are trying to replace my battery with a REFURBISHED (second-hand) battery instead of a new one.
I raised this issue in February 2026. It has been months, and despite continuous follow-ups, there is still no battery replacement and no proper response from Tata Motors.
What is more shocking is that Tata keeps blaming driving habits for the poor range. But according to THEIR OWN meter, my average consumption over the last 6434 KM is 91 Wh/KM, which technically should deliver around 329 KM range. Yet in reality, I never received anything close to that.
To make things worse, the car makes frightening noises while charging. Honestly, it feels unsafe and scary, as if something could go seriously wrong at any moment.
And when I asked Tata about exchanging this problematic vehicle, they offered only ₹5 Lakhs for a well-maintained 1.5-year-old car purchased for ₹18 Lakhs. Is this a joke?
My demands are simple:
1. Provide a BRAND NEW battery replacement instead of a refurbished battery.
2. Offer a fair replacement/exchange value for the vehicle.
This has been the worst ownership experience of my life. Extremely disappointed with Tata Motors and their after-sales service.

My mamaji is on ventilator. He had all his life’s savings within PSU bank in FDs. All his accounts have been sealed as due to being bed ridden he could not do re-KYC in person. His kids asked bank to take humane view. Bank said if he cannot come in person, accounts will not open.
FDs in PSU banks can be useless in time of need due to KYC regulations.
@narendramodi@RBI this KYC mess is draconian. Please help in this time of need

@JatinTweets_ Yes, the girl broke the heart beyond repairs.
The damage can’t be healed until she is out and away.
Married to same girl, he is looking at either an inevitable disaster or we are looking at a future heartbroken prime minister.
