@zhenyamoder Probably has something to do with the universal experience of being attacked, bitten, jumped on, covered in saliva, startled or just in general being annoyed by their barking. Truly one of the objectively worst animals there is.
@Riamus01 JP beat paleoart community and they have been seething about it ever since. As demonstrated by the recent dandadan discourse (and many before it), they don't actually care about accuracy, they just hate JP. They hate how good, iconic and, most importantly, how omnipresent it is.
@m0nz7c "it's natural" so what? sex is also natural. should we not sexualize sex? nature is sexual. Things are natural and sexual at the same time and it's good and beautiful. Take your performative prudism and shove it up your ass (also sexual).
@casualsoapeater Kind of. Few minutes for free vs buying licensed material or outright commissioning an artist to produce one, which would be both expensive and time consuming. There's a reason most studies are illustration-free or feature crude drawings made by the authors.
@ARGAtheropodfan It's much more "inaccurate" than the first one. The head is wrong entirely. Basically just a trex with a sail on back at this point. Yet after sperging about it all week paleonerds will somewhy let this one pass.
@FukonaYuki@Destroyer397 It's a predator. It chases things. Two legged body is made for speed and mobility. Perfectly reasonable. Is it true? who knows. But reasonable it is.
