@MadRender that’s very fair! personally I really enjoy flaws across mediums. just responding to what op was saying, the existence of Naive art and the playful styles preferred for childrens publishing (i.e), it makes sense that visual artists are more likely to say that everyone can draw

because illustration is the most naive friendly form of visual artistic making. In music and acting, a flawed performance is noticeable; in art, “flaws” can be style. the artists interpretation and communication of a subject/idea/feeling is more important than real-world accuracy

Visual artists are the only people in the world who believe this. Musicians don't pretend everyone can do music. Actors don't pretend everyone can act. It's only illustrators who think this.

that being said, my belief that it doesn’t matter how “bad” or “good” you believe someone’s creativity is, if they are out there making ,doing or performing, whatever, then they can call themselves whatever they want. if you sing, you are a singer.
