@Dom_2k Never thought I’d say this but I’m happy for them. Before the Brunson era these last few years and like 2 years of Melo, my entire life that franchise has been nothing more than a doormat for stars to come in, wipe their feet, and drop a new career high. I’m happy they came up.
@sFiivee@Hasq7m@realtalkejlt But because I won’t say he deserves the same amount of credit as Shaq or that he was better than Shaq during those years, Kobe stans in mentions crying me a river like I disrespected him.
@sFiivee@Hasq7m@realtalkejlt 3. I have the guy ranked #3 all time and have given him plenty of props and praise including always being of the opinion that he more than deserves credit for all 3 of those rings with Shaq.
@IrisOfTheEagle@Hasq7m@realtalkejlt I agree. And I’ve said on multiple occasions Kareem is drastically overrated because people just look at accolades and his stats without adding context. He was winning anything consistently or even regularly making deep postseason runs till Magic showed up and he should get taxed
@IrisOfTheEagle@Hasq7m@realtalkejlt The only comparison of two players of their caliber playing together both in their prime or at their peak is Steph and KD playing together while being the 2nd and 3rd best players in the world and guess what? They both get taxed for it.
@IrisOfTheEagle@Hasq7m@realtalkejlt By their 2nd ring together in 1982, Kareem was already starting to decline and by their last 1-2 rings together he was washed. So Magic and Kareem isn’t the same as as Kobe and Shaq playing together when Shaq is at the peak of his powers and Kobe is top 5 player in the world.
@__TyLennon@Hasq7m@realtalkejlt And yeah you don’t know ball because in the 2001 finals Kobe didn’t have 50/50 shooting splits. He averaged 24 on 41/33/84 splits and had 3 mediocre to bad shooting games in that series. The series you’re talking about is the 2002 finals and even then Shaq was better.
@__TyLennon@Hasq7m@realtalkejlt He went from averaging 27 on good efficiency in the WCF while being guarded by elite bigs in Tim Duncan and David Robinson to averaging 33 in the Finals while being guarded by another elite defensive big in Dikembe Mutombo. You don’t know wtf you’re talking about.
@IrisOfTheEagle@Hasq7m@realtalkejlt 1. Nah, it’s pretty clearly Shaq
2. I’ve said on multiple occasions Kareem should get taxed more and Steph and KD already get taxed plenty so that’s just untrue
3. If you’re not the best player on your team, you get taxed to some degree, simple. It’s always been that way.
@Hasq7m@realtalkejlt And nobody is even discrediting Kobe. I have him ranked higher than most non stans. He just wasn’t better than Shaq overall during those years and yall just can’t accept that because yall are delusional fanboys.
@Hasq7m@realtalkejlt Shaq put up 27 on good efficiency while being guarded by Tim Duncan and David Robinson and then gave Mutumbo 33 while Kobe struggled in the Finals. “Weak front courts” lol yall Kobe stans just be yapping and grasping for straws.
@HawkEmDownChris False. Bird was better in every aspect of the game besides passing/playmaking and that’s closer than alot of people think. Magic is only over him all time because he lasted a little longer.
