Here's the mechanic. Write to the bankruptcy court asking about the item showing on your credit report. They'll send you back a letter on their official letterhead stating that the US bankruptcy court has no responsibility for what's on your credit report and cannot add or remove anything. That's entirely on the credit reporting agencies.
That letter is your proof the bureaus never verified with the original creditor. That's the dispute. That's how a bankruptcy comes off.
