@RFCMerthyr @WaterWheelers Thank you Tondu, cracking game of rugby and really exciting to see so many young players, from both sides, showing what they can do in preparation for youth rugby next year.
Look forward to arranging a pre season game down with you next season 🏉

Had this from our older person schemes, English HA’s, but I’m sure you can make contact with some of the case studies.
Our care & support team are working on something similar, but focusing more on assisted technologies. Can get you a contact Monday
Absolute bonkers, boys have worked their socks off all year and beat everyone they’ve played in blues league, to not even get the chance to represent their region
This is part of the problem with Welsh rugby, a very inadequately run region that doesn’t incentivise young players
@CardiffRugbyWeb@Young_ironmen But you mention unsubstantiated accusations, when we are clearly telling you the reality, so it’s not slander or untruth, the region HAVE NOT made contact
@CardiffRugbyWeb@Young_ironmen Look this is obviously going nowhere and our arguments are polar apart, I’m getting tired and ready for bed.
I hope the team does well tomorrow, I really do, just tough to see when I know how much my boys deserve a chance
Anyway, have a good Xmas and hopefully things improve
@CardiffRugbyWeb@Young_ironmen But this is part of their full time job, looking at viability and proportioning resources, if their role is only 5% scouting, surely their priority would have been contacting the most successful youth club in the region (currently) and having conversations with them 🤷♂️
@CardiffRugbyWeb@Young_ironmen Look you provide evidence of the region reaching out to us (MRFC) then my argument is flawed and I agree slanderous, but I assure you they haven’t.
Obviously I’m going to be defensive about my players, looking at the bigger picture, how many other deserving players are missing out
@CardiffRugbyWeb@Young_ironmen Honestly, we’ve not had any contact from the region. We hosted the blues youth final last week, with representatives from blues watching. We were involved and won against a very good Cambrian side. Should we nominate players there, or the blues coaches watching approach us 🤷♂️
@CardiffRugbyWeb@Young_ironmen their interest and they should have made contact with us. All our games are recorded via Veo and shared with teams we’ve played against. The blues mentioned having commmunity scouts, what the hell have they been watching. It’s just a mess in wales and youth rugby isn’t helping
@CardiffRugbyWeb@Young_ironmen But can’t you see the issue here, the boys have had a fantastic start to the season, been playing really well beating all blues clubs they’ve played. As a regional side that’s meant to represent the whole of the region, including the valleys, surely this should have perked…cont
@CardiffRugbyWeb@Young_ironmen Well I can 100% guarantee no players were invited,,,,I suppose if your a supporter you could have nominated them or maybe if we had a dad willing to sponsor the team they would have had a chance
Surely you can see the issue here, boys worthy of a shot at least, being ignored 🤷♂️
@CardiffRugbyWeb@Young_ironmen For a representative side, no we didn’t have any requests,,,,plus I’m sure it’s your job to identify players that are worthy of regional representation, or can any dad nominate their son for a blues cap
