If you support peace and oppose all non-defensive violence (e.g. murder, rape, slavery, etc.), retweet this, and I will follow you. 🙂
I am always happy to be connected with fellow peace lovers.
@EsaeteFdn My recommendation would be to engage the boys / men more often to be active in advancing activities that end gender based violence.
People say it's hard to call upon men, but the best way is to find the men where they are.
@EsaeteFdn We should also engage people in a needs analysis to better understand their needs before giving them money. Financial literacy is very crucial
@EsaeteFdn People can have the money but not able to use for right purpose so this is also something to be addressed and capacity building on the effective use of funds purpose.
@EsaeteFdn This might look funny or even impossible. The government can scrap off cultural norms like payment of dowery as this is what usually pushes the parents into having their girls into marriage.

Our team leader @nankunda20 who is also the co-founder @WezeshaGirls helped us understand what digital violence really means.
She explained that it is not just negative comments online but also includes cyberbullying, threats, sharing someone’s photos without permission, fake accounts and messages meant to embarrass or hurt women and girls.
She reminded us that these actions cause stress, shame, fear and can stop girls from speaking up or using online spaces confidently.
She also shared why working together as organizations is important.
When we join hands, we can speak louder, support those who have been hurt, teach girls how to stay safe online and push leaders to take action.
Today’s discussion encouraged us to stand strong, learn more, protect each other and keep creating safe online spaces where girls can express themselves freely.

Human rights are our everyday essentials but for too many women & girls, they are still treated as privileges.
This #HumanRightsDay2025 and Day 16 of #16DaysOfActivism, we call for justice that's felt in women’s bodies, lived in their choices, and protected in their communities.
🚫No one should feel threatened or silenced on the internet!

Today we proudly join members of @GNB_Uganda for the central region #GirlSummitUg in Luwero District where we are hosted by the member organisation @AnthillEDUC under the powerful theme “RE-ENTRY, RECLAIM,RISE”
Every teenage and child mother deserves a second chance to dream again, to rise again and to reclaim her future through education. Being a mother at a young age should never mark the end of a girl’s education journey. Education is a right, not a privilege and it is the key that unlocks opportunities, restores dignity and breaks the cycle of poverty and early marriage.
As we engage in today’s summit, we stand in solidarity with every girl who has faced stigma, rejection and barriers to return to school. We amplify their voices and reaffirm our commitment to creating safe spaces and supportive systems that enable them to thrive.
As parents, communities, schools and leaders, let us work together to ensure no girl is left behind.
Because when we educate a girl, we uplift families, transform communities and build a stronger, more equal Uganda.
