For the first time yesterday, I experienced the new @alamodrafthouse QR code ordering system and I can tell you itโs truly awful. Rather than making ordering food and drink more efficient, it actually adds steps to the process AND if you want to order additional items during the film you HAVE to open your phone. No, your cute reference to that irony in your How To Alamo video doesnโt negate how ridiculous this is. Please donโt cut corners with your staff and revert back to physical menus and order cards.
After all these years of The Last Drive In I'm still convinced Blood Sucking Freaks inspired Despicable Me. BSF also has a ballerina wearing pink like Gru's girls. Anyways, thank you @therealjoebob@kinky_horror Shudder might no longer be, but wherever you go @TheMutantFam goes!
Seeing the clip from 2020 reminded me that #TheLastDriveIn got me and many other mutants through the pandemic. When community was hard to come by, you were there for us. Thank you @kinky_horror and @therealjoebob for so many years of amazing programming.
For 8 years, The Last Drive-In has introduced countless horror fans to many films they had probably never seen, dispensed an endless wealth of deep dive knowledge, and brought fans together like nothing else I've seen over the years. All beautiful things. Long live the Drive-In.
