- America was looking for a crude oil refinery for Venezuelan oil.

- Only Indian refineries were geopolitically safe, cheap, and well connected.

- America had no other option than to deal with India to refine its oil.

- But they knew that refining oil in India meant India would control their oil exports and could threaten them over other things.

- The only way to overcome this issue was to install a puppet government, and refine oil without any major threat.

Those trying to launch a movement on the issue of ‘vote chori’, are no more attracting crowds. There could be two main reasons: One, Addition or deletion of names in voters’ list is no more an emotional issue. It is an issue only for political parties who have to fight elections. Two, Election Commission has changed its stance after the controversy flared up. It has now become easy for voters to get their names added.

In several places, electoral officials are themselves contacting those whose names have been deleted. Discrepancies that were found in the functioning of EC have been, more or less, removed. For those who have got the right to vote and elect governments, there does not appear much substance in “vote chori” slogan anymore. The slogan is fast losing its momentum.

हाल ही में जब तीन लाख रुपये तक की कीमत वाला आईफोन डुओ देश में आउट ऑफ स्टॉक हो गया, तो यह साफ हो गया कि भारतीय बाजार में प्रीमियम स्मार्टफोट्स की कितनी जबरदस्त डिमांड है. इसी बीच आईटी मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने एक बहुत बड़ा और दूरदर्शी बयान दिया है. उन्होंने कहा है कि आने वाले दो सालों यानी अक्टूबर 2028 तक भारत के पास अपना खुद का होमग्रोन स्मार्टफोन ब्रांड होगा, जिसकी अपनी डिजाइन, मैन्युफैक्चरिंग और अपनी इंटेलेक्चुअल प्रॉपर्टी होगी. यह देसी ब्रांड सीधे तौर पर एप्पल और सैमसंग जैसे ग्लोबल दिग्गजों को टक्कर देने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार हो रहा है.

दिल्ली में आयोजित एक समिट के दौरान आईटी मंत्री ने सभी को तारीख याद रखने की सलाह दी. उन्होंने साफ शब्दों में कहा कि अक्टूबर 2028 तक भारत के पास ऐसे मोबाइल फोन होंगे जिन्हें देश में ही डिजाइन किया जाएगा, देश में ही बनाया जाएगा और जिन पर भारत का अपना ब्रांड नेम होगा. आज के समय में जब भारत ग्लोबल इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स सप्लाई चेन में अपनी मजबूत पकड़ बना रहा है, तब किसी फोन की तकनीक और उसकी अपनी टेक्नोलॉजी तैयार करना एक बहुत बड़ा और चुनौतीपूर्ण काम माना जाता है, जिसे भारत अब पूरा करने जा रहा है.
