So... American rules football descended from rugby rules football, less chaotic & more strategic, from needing to use feet in the scrum to snapping it at the scrimmage, from needing to yell "down" to stop play to having set downs that stop play, etc...

When it started, American rules football, kicking the ball thru the goalposts was the main point and the rumble to cross the goal-line a way to earn the right to try a kick, 2 points for crossing the goal-line, 4 points for the try... 5 for a field goal.

Accept reality @FIFAWorldCup. Association rules football isn't meant to be a contact sport. Stop telling your refs to let bullshit type play go. Its a shame. Y'all are taking the elegance out of the sport. It used to be more about skill, now it seems to be more about body checks.

p.s. The rule on goal interference typically refers to an attacker impeding the goalkeeper's ability to play the ball, not if the contact's soft/hard @BBCiPlayer experts. German dude's whole role in that corner was to do so. There's no need for y'all to be silly w/ your analysis.
