@wyomingdoc After a huge storm rolled through, a very old tree across the road from my house split in the middle and was cut down. While I was standing reflecting at the stump that was left, two Indian ladies came by and prayed for the tree, its life and its loss. A spiritual experience.
@Mr_Husky1 My brother when he was young referred to Dad’s handheld calculator as a yukyukyuk. Almost 60 years later I still hear my dad asking mum where the yukyukyuk is.
@josesaezmerino My spotlight was broken too, it wasn’t finding apps or certain docs - eventually tried Mole’s optimise option as a last resort which fixed it. Made me so happy!

@steipete Nowadays i tend to reply to those with ‘I’m always open to pull requests’.

@tobi I have a Logitech remote control from ages ago that I quite liked - configuration was all web based. Fun part was when they dropped the model from their lineup a year or two later for a new one the config web page went away - no more configuring the remote!
@tomwarren I look forward to the days of offices full of people all yelling louder and louder at their computers to be heard over the din of their workmates asking their computers to ‘nah maybe try it in green’.
@hieudinh_ Following the liquid glass logic where the ui should sit above the content then the right one makes sense. Plus the right one does looks better 😊
@nicenuts@deputydman Using AI to fluff up your email, and the recipient using AI to defluff the salient points of the email definitely seems a good use of the world’s resources.
@krzyzanowskim Yup. There's a lot of carelessness going into macOS UI nowadays.
I have logged a bug for this one in the App store that peeves me -- how do i know these are links? No rollover, can't tab to them, no cursor change - just click randomly on things and see if something happens.
