And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out and will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a extent.” [Qur’an, 65]

I interviewed people for Shell for years.
Here’s how to get in. 🧵
These tips will help you for other O&G companies too because they basically copy each other.
Same concepts. Different buzz words.
Till today, I am still reflecting on what may have gone wrong between Malam Nasir El-Rufai and Malam Nuhu Ribadu, once close allies to family roots to now greatest adversaries.
I choose to see this not from the lens of politics, but from that of history and legacy. Regardless of the reasons for their fallout, this kind of precedent is not the best example for younger generations, even within the rough and competitive terrain of Nigerian politics.
As young people, we may feel compelled to take sides based on political affiliations or loyalties, but that does not change the fact that this is not the kind of political culture we hope to shape our future.
Apart from my personal affiliation with both the two Malam’s, directly or indirectly, my admiration for both, of course based on their records of public service and excellence, is enough to make me genuinely saddened by what we are witnessing today.
I sincerely hope that, in the interest of the many young people like myself who look up to them as models of leadership and statesmanship, they may one day find a common ground, not even for politics, but for this set of young people. It may seem insignificant in the larger scheme of things, but there are many of us who share this quiet appeal, genuinely and sincerely.
