A pangolin eats 15,000 to 20,000 termites per day. That's about 70 million per year. Besides controlling termite population, they also help aerate the soil. They're environmental heroes that need our protection. Please, do not hunt or eat pangolins.
Thank you

ASА GRASSROOTS ENGAGEMENT: Strengthening the People, Mobilising for Continuity and Progress
Today in Asa LGA, I had the privilege of engaging the elders, women and youth of Sosoki/Yowere Ward. We had honest and meaningful conversations about their concerns, aspirations and expectations for the future.
I used the opportunity to urge them to come out en masse and support the election of H.E. Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON as Senator, Kwara Central, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi as Governor of Kwara State, and all other APC candidates contesting in the forthcoming elections.
I also launched the Sosoki/Yowere Grassroots Mobilization Network to deepen our engagement at the ward level, strengthen our grassroots structure and ensure our people’s voices are heard and represented.
Later, I joined the good people of Igbo Efon for a special prayer for His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in appreciation of his administration and for the successful completion of the borehole water project for the community.
I also inspected the ongoing renovation at Asa LG Primary School, Idi-Ose, established in 1976, alongside the Ward Councillor. It was truly heartwarming to see renewed attention being given to an institution that has shaped generations and continues to hold an important place in the history of our community.
I remain committed to the grassroots, to service, and to the progress of Asa and Kwara State.
Together, we strengthen the grassroots. Together, we build a greater Kwara.

PDP’s “Defection Drama” in Warah/Osin/Egbejila: A Scripted Act, Not a Movement
ILORIN — The much-publicized defection of “over 200 APC members” to the PDP in Warah/Osin/Egbejila Ward, Ilorin West LGA, should worry every well-meaning Kwaran. Not because people cannot change parties, but because this latest PDP stunt bears all the hallmarks of deceit, desperation, and political theatre.
Let us be clear: no names of the so-called 200 defectors were made public. No ward register was presented. No verifiable list. Only a nameless “leader” speaking for ghosts, and cameras rolling for Saraki Movement Team led by Comr. Abdulkareem Suleiman.
After 7+ years out of power and drained by court cases, the Saraki political structure is broke. The only way to keep the structure alive is to parade “defectors” and pretend there is momentum. The tickets are being given to people with money — not to serve the people, but to fund the old cabal.
The so-called new entrants and “defectors” have no verifiable base in Warah/Osin/Egbejila. They have no trustees in party organs. They have no crowd. This is the same PDP that presided over an era of half salaries, stagnated workers, and unpaid pensioners. Today they want to talk about “good governance”? Where was that concern when workers were owed and promotions were frozen?
While PDP stages drama, Kwara under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has joined the few self-reliant states in Nigeria. While 80% of other states depend on Abuja for monthly bills, Kwara is paying full salaries, promoting workers, clearing pension arrears, and delivering projects. That is the record PDP cannot debate, so they resort to staged defections.
Kwarans, do not be deceived by rented crowds and press releases. Ask for names: if 200 people defected, where is the list and where are they from? Ask for antecedents: are these real APC members or political jobbers moving from one camp to another for survival? And judge by records, not rhetoric — PDP’s era gave us half salaries and stagnation, while APC’s era is giving us self-reliance and progress. Politics is not magic.
Real support shows up, real members have names and addresses, and real movements do not need to hide behind “over 200” without evidence. Kwara is moving forward and we are not going back to the era of deceit, dynasty politics, and empty promises.
Vote with your eyes open, vote with your head, vote APC from top to bottom. For the People of Kwara.
