While i do agree that characters that are iranian (especially nilou) shouldn’t be drawn in a hijab, i also agree that this is not an open gate for people to be islamaphobic and openly racist towards people from SWANA😭
I’m feeling pissed off so here’s your daily reminder to not claim you’re a feminist whilst actively shitting on Muslim women and claiming we are “brainwashed.” If the only way you ever accept Muslim women is if they unveil + leave their faith then you don’t gaf about us at all.
@iB1blue Totally agree! The real oppression is the act of forcing women to either wear or take off the hijab, women should have the freedom of choice to wear whatever they want!
Petition to stop acting like “the Middle East” and India isn’t in Asia, and to not only refer to East Asians when talking about Asia. There’s more to Asia than China, Japan and South Korea istg
@CalMEurofan I forgot how much Israel loves the LGBTQ community. So much so they have their gay soldiers blackmail gay Palestinians continually, destroying their lives! Such a friend to the movement!
My teachers pulling me aside at the start of the year to tell me not to talk about my holidays or beliefs or parent country or language because parents might get mad that their kids have to interact with me
growing up muslim with mostly non muslim friends meant they'd casually drop into conversation that their parents hate muslims btw sorry if that's an issue or that i should be grateful (xyz) is still friends with me even when im a muslim. why did i put up with that as a kid tbh???
