Lake Brienz is one of Switzerland's most famous lakes, located next to the town of Interlaken. It is sometimes called the “blue pearl” due to its crystal clear blue waters.

The village of Brienz, located on the opposite side of the lake, is a picturesque spot made up of traditional wooden houses with the snow-capped Alps in the background. You can take a walk or cycle along the southern shore of the lake, or cross the Oberried and catch the train to Interlaken.
