@PaulLivo Yeah performance is scuffed right now. The game is very CPU demanding. But it should be noted that frame generation will be available at launch.
@hard8_times I agree the movement is awkward but we need to remember we’re so used to 5’s controls now it’s gonna be a learning curve. It’s also still a beta test and the game is not finalized so what you’re saying here will hopefully be taken as feedback. As that’s kinda the point of a beta.
@skirkology FOR REAL like she’s ballerina inspired that doesn’t mean everything has to be a one to one imitation of how it is in real life. Ya’ll didn’t care about how accurate Eula or Nilou was or about how every single character is in heels even the supposed warriors.
@Zoey_RZ Yeah the game is quite demanding but by launch it should be a bit more optimized and have frame generation available. Right now for me with high settings and low rt it ran around 90fps at 1440 with fsr 4 quality on 7800 xt. I found it odd too that you can’t fully disable rt.
@properscaryy I felt like e day was significantly slower too after playing 5 for so long + the default control scheme on pc is very unnatural (ctrl for jump and space bar for slide/roll when every other game is the other way around) BUT i think we just need to get used to it and it’ll be fine.
@KingAbzTV Didn’t have time to do a match but tried the boot camp a bit and the default control scheme on pc is very unnatural. They put slide/roll in the space bar and jump in ctrl. In most games its the opposite. Also i got so used to gears 5’s movement and control so e day feels awkward.
@Zenun_2 This would make sense IF the open beta didn’t have pvp. They should’ve just have it the other way around, the early access is both pvp and horde and the open beta is horde only. Or even have the open beta be two weekends with each weekend dedicated to each mode separately.
@Dutchonidas Weird thing is this is the beta for people who preordered. What you say would make sense if it was the open beta but it’s not. I’m sure the vast majority of preorders are from people who played Gears in the past. Other than the beta there’s no point in preordering a digital game.
@Dutchonidas For me it’s not about the early access itself being horde only, I’m actually quite excited to try out siege. It’s about the communication. Why have they been hyping up this beta for two months and letting people preorder without clarifying it’s only horde? That’s the scummy part.
