THURSDAY THRILLER PICK ππͺ
Some thrillers entertain you. Others quietly get under your skin and make you question everything you thought you understood.
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides was that kind of book for me.
It begins with silenceβa woman accused of killing her husband refuses to say a single word. But beneath that silence is a story filled with grief, obsession, trauma, and truths that are carefully hidden from both the characters and the reader.
What stayed with me wasn't just the mystery of who did what. It was the uncomfortable realization that we often believe we understand people simply because we know the version of themselves they choose to show us.
And sometimes, the person telling the story isn't the person we should trust the most.
By the time I reached the end, I wasn't just shocked. I found myself going back through everything, questioning every detail and wondering how much I had missed.
Some stories don't just give you a twist. They make you question your own ability to see the truth when it's right in front of you.
The Silent Patient is one of those books.
Have you ever finished a thriller and just sat there in silence because you genuinely didn't see that coming?
