“All truth is from God; and consequently, if wicked men have said anything that is true and just, we ought not to reject it; for it has come from God.”
— John Calvin
“The truth, of course, was that it was all my own self, and my own impiety had divided me against myself. My sin was all the more incurable because I did not think myself a sinner.”
— Augustine, Confessions.
Go forth today, by the help of God's Spirit, vowing and declaring that in life - come poverty, come wealth, in death - come pain or come what may, you are and ever must be the Lord's. For this is written on your heart, 'We love Him because He first loved us.'
- Charles Spurgeon
"My Lord, I did not choose You
For that could never be
My heart would still refuse
You Had You not chosen me
Unless Your grace had called me
And touched my opening mind
The world would have enthralled me
To heavenly glories blind."
- Seeker & Servant
“Nothing in all the vast universe can come to pass otherwise than God has eternally purposed. Here is a foundation of faith.”
~ Arthur Pink, “Sovereignty of God”
@OgSte1@drewchandlerr@wendelltalks In other words, your standard for what is morally wrong or acceptable is determined by the majority agreement within society. Thank you for your time and kindness. Sorry about your head, have some rest.
@OgSte1@drewchandlerr@wendelltalks I understand your desire to explore multiple arguments at once, and while I hesitate to delve into that topic, I'm genuinely curious about your perspective. What leads you to believe that slavery is morally wrong?
@OgSte1@drewchandlerr@wendelltalks I was simply highlighting that your initial argument doesn't serve as proof of the nonexistence of God. Your 2nd argument can be applied to any other religion as well. In the case of Christian theology, there's an answer to your question, but it requires more than a brief tweet.
@OgSte1@drewchandlerr@wendelltalks This implies the existence of one genuine creator and 2999 impostors. It could be argued that we may not know which one is genuine, but that does not provide a valid argument against the existence of God.
