When the Daintree Discovery Centre's interpretive centre was built, great care was taken to protect the natural environment, including building around the big trees!

The Daintree Discovery Centre will be closed today, Sunday January 27 due to recent heavy rainfall in the area. There is currently no phones or internet operating. Please direct any enquiry through Facebook messenger.
The Daintree Discovery Centre is open. We are currently experiencing some difficulties with our phone lines if you are trying to reach us, however, we just wanted to let our visitors know it is business as usual and with the recent rain, the rainforest is sparkling.
While most fruits you find in the rainforest are highly toxic, there are some that can be eaten, just like this Davidson Plum.
CAUTION: The Daintree Discovery Centre advises against eating any fruits found in the rainforest. https://t.co/2xLV9SRGvs
