Wow!
@BBCNews found a woman whose daughter’s outpt appointment was cancelled today.
They clearly thought she would be anti the nurses strikes.
Instead she gave the most intelligent and empassioned argument for decent pay for nurses I have heard yet.
Bravo!
This is the time of year for a favourite Old English word: the leaves are 'fallowing', from the verb fealwian, 'to turn yellow-gold'. In Anglo-Saxon poetry fealo (fallow) is the golden-brown shade of fire, linden shields, bay horses and autumn leaves. They fallow, then they fall.
@_rachelOT @MOHOspark @AmyMitchellOT@ClaireMichelleZ@MorecroftSarah Thanks so much for organising and thanks to all the speakers. Always so inspiring to hear what other OTs are doing and brilliant learning 👏
@ColetteFoley I've found a silver lining. Dutyfree when flying London to Dublin. Who needs peace and stability in the North, replenish your whiskey collection.
I think a lot of people assume #LongCovid is a continuation of the acute COVID symptoms, that just take a long time to get over.
In reality it is an often delayed onset of *new* neurological, immunological, cardiovascular, and systemic symptoms.

@abbyhonold Abby, keep the faith. I am at almost 6 months. there was a sudden massive improvement at about 4months after what felt like no progress at all. But yes the focus on mortality rather than disability is so unhelpful to public health and compliance
@Dr2NisreenAlwan Initially, remembering whole sentences, difficulty with lexical retrieval, memory lapses unable to follow conversation. Now, a loss of mental acuity, creativity and cognitive flexibility, reduced attention, unable to read for more than 10mins
