@MemEnglandhokey Or they were hoping to appoint both a head and an assistant but the head said no last minute ……….

[David Lee @dairy033]

@carlsmith85 @TheTopoftheD @MemEnglandhokey It was his turn in goal

[David Lee @dairy033]

@TheSimonEvansX @BradfemlyWalsh Personally I love the ode to train station toilets by a wannabe Betjamen - the other day was broken hearted , paid for a s**t, but only farted.

[David Lee @dairy033]

@TheHockeyPaper One gym hall albeit it with a light up glass floor will hold how many spectators ? From memory a 100?

[David Lee @dairy033]

@BurnsideWasTosh That’s a proper Yorkshire - but love the token t

[David Lee @dairy033]

@MemEnglandhokey Talking of insta and clubs being poor at it - Harvard have taken 6 minutes to upload and fully tag a goal onto their feed …

[David Lee @dairy033]

@MemEnglandhokey Two of them are / were juniors !

[David Lee @dairy033]

Anyone top that? @MemEnglandhokey

[David Lee @dairy033]

How to tell it’s the first day of the season @Spencer_Hockey without saying it’s the first day of the season? Check your bank statement on Sunday - 5 jugs of lager 20 shots of tequila and a half of shandy ……

[David Lee @dairy033]

@MemEnglandhokey Thanks for everyone explaining - but that’s an insane way of making a draw - effectively the “pool games” in the top two pools are pretty irrelevant

[David Lee @dairy033]

@MemEnglandhokey How was the draw made ?? Pool A and Pool D have very different world rankings !!!

[David Lee @dairy033]

@MemEnglandhokey Margins are deceptive - in the Tour de France if you are 99% as good as the winner you don’t make it off the mountains. In Formula 1 99% gets you lapped. EH women - however EH is not even in the high 90% compared to the best !

[David Lee @dairy033]

@MemEnglandhokey No arguments with that sentiment from here !

[David Lee @dairy033]

@MemEnglandhokey Definitely not a fan of it but a part of “engagement farming” will be to put out to your own followers , EH to link to it to broaden reach / either way as you say the room has not been read !

[David Lee @dairy033]

@MemEnglandhokey That sound you can hear? That’s the bottom of the barrel being scraped

[David Lee @dairy033]

@MemEnglandhokey @PWildebest @Willowsacorns There are currently 3 generational talents who are still only 18 years old / play EH21s scored in the Prem etc. Biba, Evie G, Izzy Y. 2 are now in Holland. We’ll find out pretty quick which pathway works !

[David Lee @dairy033]

@PWildebest @Willowsacorns @MemEnglandhokey Good thanks - settling in - team is exceptionally friendly and the US parents very kind !! No idea of the standard yet but enjoying the training and lots of familiar faces !

[David Lee @dairy033]

@PWildebest @Willowsacorns @MemEnglandhokey And we need to fix / talk about the university pathway - we need to find a way of balancing academics and hockey in the UK - Harvard alone has 6 ex EAG18s !!

[David Lee @dairy033]

@PWildebest @Willowsacorns @MemEnglandhokey I was told by an EH coach that when it came to EAG there were 70 girls who we could have picked for the 26 outfield spaces but you need to get those 70 in the programme not back to TA where many will be age trapped
