🌳🐴🍂The New Forest Young Commomers Committee are asking for your help in protecting the New Forest National Park 🙏🏼
🎥 Please watch and share our message.
Thank you 😊
@RealNewForest@NewForestNPA@EngNewForest
If you choose to exercise your dogs within the New Forest we are asking that you please keep them under control. Aggravation like this is just not acceptable.
PLEASE abide by the #newforestcode at all times, so that it is a safe place for us to work our stock and you to enjoy.
Today, whilst out stock checking, a YC was antagonised and chased by an out of control dog. Sadly the owner made no attempt to keep their dog under control or put on a lead.Fortunately for this Commoner (and the dog!) their pony tolerated this ordeal....
❄️ With the weather staying cold for the next couple of days, we hope people can help keep our livestock safe, by driving carefully ❄️
⏰ Take a little extra time
❄️ Drive to the conditions
👀 Watch out for stock

⚠️ Please take care! ⚠️ There is extremely thick fog across the forest tonight! 👀 Animals may be around any corner & near the roads. These donkeys are wandering up Fritham. We ask you to with care and respect. @HantsPolice@RealNewForest@NewForestNPA ⚠️ 🧊 ‼️
Training ponies and children to catch ponies takes time and patience... Big smiles all round. The future of commoning is in the hands of our @YoungCommoners it is so important that we invest in them, sharing our love for the Forest and our knowledge.

The @YoungCommoners group is a vital part of the #NewForest#commoning decision making process. Established in 2007 to ensure the voice of Young Commoners is heard. Too often young people are spoken about rather than listened to.
Went for a walk to find our old mare and yearling. We fed her a little hay, not because she is hungry but to tempt her so that she is easier to catch in the next few weeks. When she comes closer to home she will hopefully follow us for some hay.
Some good pictures from today’s successful drift. A total of 88 ponies were rounded up. It’s nearly the end of drifting season. It’s been a challenging season especially during these uncertain times, but as Commoners we have worked together. #realnewforest https://t.co/3dIUWPDQD8
#NewForest commoners are teaching local school children all about commoning via zoom! We’d love to hear from local schools interested meeting us virtually. 👋
We are very proud of Peter Fogarty for winning the Young Farmer/Commoner of the Year 2020. Pete is a very hard working and committed YC, what a great recognition. @NewForestNPA https://t.co/4x71faJYNc 🎉 🏆 🐴 🌳 💪🏼 🚜
@Steatoda Good question - “Wormers containing Ivermectin must not be used on the Forest. Animals treated with Ivermectin off the Forest must be kept off for at least two weeks to allow the active ingredients to become inert before the livestock is turned out.” - https://t.co/nTVPxHx4mj 😊
Drift paperwork. A job which can be tedious but essential, this is to ensure that every pony which is rounded up on the #newforest#ponyroundup is accounted for. The paper work shows which ponies have been wormed, collared, branded or removed from the forest. #realnewforest
