@kennylanglea I highly recommend Ken Burns’ documentary series Country Music. Apart from simply being an excellent series on its own merits, it gives proper due to the great female artists, including Dolly. She was a combination of smart, talented, kind and tough as nails.

@RadioFreeTom I did too, notwithstanding my dad’s views. House was a great character and Hugh Laurie was superb playing him. As for legal shows, I forgot about The Lincoln Lawyer which I also love (although, again, realism isn’t its strong suit).

@batcountry1980 I have never thought about the song in those terms but I think your take has a lot of merit. The intro does set things up for something epic and what follows is a nice little pop song. It’s actually never been one of my favourite BB songs.
