Born on 11Oct 1902 at Sitabdiara village in Bihar, #JPNarayan. #JP left Patna College in 1921 to join Mahatma Gandhi's call for non-cooperation. In 1922, he went to the United States for higher education. He joined the University at Berkeley & worked hard to pay for his needs.

@biswa4evr Went to Maa Cuttack Chandi temple 2 weeks back with family. The shop keepers on either side of the entrance were discussing something with choicest khanti Odia slangs. Such an embarrassing moment when you are at the god's abode with the family and hear such nonsense.
