We all deserve genuine friendships , supportive friends. People who will push us to become better in our lives , people who are excited about our wins as much as we do and AND NOT people who look at our achievements as threats .
I pray God leads us to such genuine people .❤️

You asked for "factual exactitude"? Let’s look at the UBOS Census 2024 and MEMD data for the very country you serve as Energy Minister:

93.1% of Ugandan households rely on biomass (firewood/charcoal) for cooking. Less than 3% cook using electricity or gas.

National grid coverage sits at just 25.3%. In your own constituency, Nebbi District, grid connection drops to a dismal 4.1% in West Nile, leaving, 95% of households dependent on firewood and charcoal!

As a First-Class Development Studies graduate and Minister, answering the LOP with hypothetical "alternative energy" options while pushing a charcoal ban/regulation before rural infrastructure or grid subsidies exist isn't a technical answer, it's administrative delusion.

Hiding behind parliamentary procedures doesn't change the fact that your policies remain completely detached from the daily realities of mothers in Nebbi and across Uganda.

Learn to listen to citizens without arrogance!

Just after telling our people that we are shifting to gas and electricity, this happens.

Our timing alone is very interesting! 😀

Charcoal;

The ban on charcoal sale can only be viable if Gov’t ensures that alternative energy sources are easily accessible to the population.

I highly recommend being born into a family that owns a successful law firm.

UPDATE: Two men have been arrested over the alleged counterfeiting of 200 litres of antiseptic products used in surgical procedures. The suspects were arrested with packaged products labelled Kevlon Gentle, Povidone Iodine and Iodine Tincture, intended for sale to laboratories and clinics around Kampala. NDA spokesperson Abiaz Rwamiri says the suspects manufactured the products in a room on William Street before rebranding them with the help of accomplices on Nasser Road to resemble NDA-approved products. Searches at their homes and shops in Prime Complex on Wilson Street reportedly yielded several packaging containers and stickers.

@DailyMonitor People who produce, distribute or sell counterfeit drugs and foods should be treated in the same category as those who commit mass murder.

Today I thought about that MP who drove herself to hospital for a simple procedure and didn’t return home!
May she and other women who died in similar circumstances rest well.
