A look back at Black Venus in action on WWF television.
Her WWF run may have been brief, but she made history. During an era when opportunities for Black women on national wrestling television were extremely limited, she competed on the biggest stage and helped break barriers.
A true pioneer who deserves far more recognition.

Before Jacqueline. Before Jazz. Before Bianca Belair. There was Black Venus on WWE television.
Black Venus (Jean Kirkland) remains the only Black woman to wrestle on WWF television during the 1980s and is believed to be the first to do so in the company’s history.
A forgotten pioneer who challenged for the WWF Women’s Championship, competed in Japan, and helped pave the way for future generations.

🚨 San Jose police shot college football player K’aun Green 4 times then the officer sent racist texts calling him the N-word and saying “I hate black people.”
This is the bodycam/surveillance footage from the night Green was shot at La Victoria Taqueria in March 2022.
Green had just disarmed a gunman during a brawl. He was holding the weapon pointed up when Officer Mark McNamara shot him multiple times. Police later admitted Green had nothing to do with any homicide.
McNamara was later exposed in a racist texting scandal. While the case was ongoing, he sent messages referring to Green as “this N-Word,” calling his lawyer a “nigs lawyer,”.
San Jose City Council approved an $8 million settlement the third-largest police payout in city history. No apology. No real accountability.
Another young Black man shot by police. Another officer with racist messages about the victim in his phone.
How many more families have to fight for years while officers hide behind badges and send messages like this?
THIS HAS TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!
Minor thief. It helps emphasize how badly Gotham had gotten and how far it fell that even its "king & queen" were murdered like regular bystanders in a dirty alleyway. No one was safe in Gotham. Not even the Waynes.

BREAKING: In a stunning and deeply alarming move, the Postmaster General has announced that the USPS will REFUSE to deliver mail-in ballots for the 2026 midterm elections to any state that does not comply with Donald Trump’s so-called “election integrity” executive order.
Let that sink in.
This is a direct attack on voting rights and a blatant attempt to strong-arm states into submission by threatening Americans’ access to the ballot box.
The Postal Service….an institution meant to serve EVERYONE—is now being weaponized to influence elections.
Democracy is not optional. Voting is not conditional. And no president gets to decide who can and cannot participate in our elections.
This should outrage every American, regardless of party.
Valve says the global memory shortage isn’t improving, warning that RAM and SSD prices are likely to keep rising.
“There’s no light at the end of the tunnel, honestly. It’s still getting worse.”
Valve says memory manufacturers are focusing on high-end chips for AI servers, leaving less supply for consumer hardware.
“Things that were commodity items a year or two ago… now you have to negotiate really hard just to secure a few thousand. And there are so many more people in line in front of you.”
Valve sees no improvement anytime soon.
I'm seeing a politician that seems to actually want to help the majority of the people he serves and other politicians from both sides that really wanting him to stop. That should be really telling.
