Dear Congress:

You should never have to feel unsafe or need to hide under your desk.

Ms. Blancas went viral for this video in 2018. In Oct. she got Covid and spent the next 7 weeks in the ICU. She ran out of sick days & lost her health insurance. A GoFundMe was set up for medical expenses. She passed away on Sunday. A #1stgrade teacher at 35yrs old, gone.

The mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) are kind of brilliant at a science level. I’ve had a few people in my real non-Twitter life ask me to explain how it works so I’m going to try my best here in this thread while I’m waiting for a patient to show.

Georgia is having a runoff Jan 5 to decide who our 2 new senators will be. If those senators go blue Mitch McConnell will no longer be Senate Majority Leader. You have until December 7 to register to vote. Retweet to spread awareness even if you don’t live here.

It’s not just a matter of long lines either - in this year’s primary, thousands of voters received their mail-in ballots *after* the election.
In 2017, the NYC Board of Elections admitted in court it broke state & fed law by purging hundreds of thousands of voters off the rolls.
