Please check your kids Halloween candy. I just found a Ricky Glaser clip in a snickers bar.

[dale decker @daledodecker]

@thewarreport23 The internet is an aspect but also the ratio of old vs young buck is just wayyyyyy off. So it’s perceived as an old head activity. Why would a kid want to do something old people do.

[dale decker @daledodecker]

@shilohikem When enough time passes everything is cringe. Skating has been the hellride vibe for long enough for it to not be cool anymore and to be seen as an old head activity. And the activity is gate kept by people who have that vibe

[dale decker @daledodecker]

@cnkerr 😂😂😂

[dale decker @daledodecker]

@FragileRandle @cnkerr But it’s political in nature. It’s a sub culture that challenges the status quo. Actually you can argue that it’s none of these things anymore but at its core it is and It’s very important it stays that way.

[dale decker @daledodecker]

@FragileRandle @cnkerr “both sides are bad and hypocritical” which yes is a start but it’s extremely short sighted lacking any depth and nuance.

[dale decker @daledodecker]

@FragileRandle @cnkerr Yeah I did too and I was 14 lol. We didn’t know any better yet. I’m not sure who you’re talking to unless it’s maga then yes I agree. Being educated on why we have the problems we do shouldn’t be bizarre. It’s scary that it is. I think you’re referring to identity politics here.

[dale decker @daledodecker]

Will someone tell these pro skaters who “don’t do politics” that they should probably shut the fuck WHEN IT COMES TO POLITICS.

[dale decker @daledodecker]

I will never understand this take on a subculture born along side/adjacent to VERY POLITICAL genres like punk and hip hop.

[dale decker @daledodecker]
