@cxEmdy@PShewGoodTakes for example if you want to feint a dash approach in ult you have to either dash dance back or empty hop, both having a high chance of getting clipped. doing a foxtrot into backwards pp in 4 leaves you actionable and in range to whiff punish.
@cxEmdy@PShewGoodTakes ult has like run cancels and pseudo dash dance which is pretty much limited to 2 spacings. 4 takes getting used to but pivots, extended dash dancing, less dash startup, running through shield, shield dropping... movement is much more responsive for micro spacing.
@257gon_ played a brawl before work today and got a geist complaining that we weren't building enough spirit resist... in a game mode where your items are random
@GetQuakedOn they don't really RUIN the game for me but i personally find it annoying when one perk is just better than the other 99% of the time and it becomes less of a mid-game decision and more just waiting to unlock my characters full kit
@MtotheAtotheZ@Core_04g yeah pulling flins will just make you struggle to pick a team for columbina, if you pull skirk you have 3 teams that should be able to tackle at least fearless every patch
@KitasanMR "go play cod or val" is such an annoying argument because it's so much more engaging to play "point and click" in hero shooters where your targets are flying around like no i don't want to hold angles for 30 minutes
@Flashbangy@DevinDtv@Thorin not to say that the aim fundamentals than ARE required aren't extremely deep in tf2, i just don't think it's the full package if you want to exercise all aspects of aim.
@Flashbangy@DevinDtv@Thorin love tf2 but it tests less aim fundamentals than overwatch hitscans do. that said it is probably one of if not the competitive fps with the most pronounced and interesting dodge, its arsenal is just unfortunately not deep enough to fully take advantage of that
@SilversCryTwice@DevinDtv yeah, this is the whole thing about depth and breadth. people are saying aim isn't deep because it's only one thing (crosshair on target), but miss that there's as much to improve on as 100 ability interactions combined
@MtotheAtotheZ@Core_04g imo bineffa is versatile and good with many chars. ask yourself how often you use furina/coffi/cit without ayaka, if the answer is rarely then skirk gives those 3 new life and will allow you to basically always have 1 clearing team without eating up contested supports

@DevinDtv@obundt@Weebeen_@glowingmote i really like the dive mirror as tracer, and was surprised you didn't play her. i think she enables you to play aggressively into dive while still taking a lot of duels. meanwhile soldier can force people to come to you vs deathballs where tracer struggles.
