@therecount Wtf....why all the griping abt this tax. It is no more regressive than gas tax (by the gallon) for those rural folks who drive lng distances and use more gas. only difference is this tax forces electric vehicles and hybrids to pay a more equitable share. Sheesh! Get a grip

@BillKristol The founders wanted dc to not be “in a state and not be a state” so that the federal govt could be completely independent of the states. That was a very deliberate and explicit condition of locating the central govt I a space carved “out of” Maryland.
