Uff!
An old, but apt fable:
A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river. The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: "I am sorry, but I couldn't help myself. It's my character." @Wikipedia
Så er opstilling klar. Talarico vs Paxton
MIDTVEJSVALGET STARTER I DAG
Alle øjne er dog rettet mod 'the Lone Star State', Texas.

Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in America.
He embodies the broken system we’re running against.
It’s time to come together: The People vs. Ken Paxton
There is zero doubt tonight that Donald Trump is in complete and total control of the Republican Party.
He can beat just about any Republican in just about any state in just about any primary. He is chief strategist, chief advocate, and chief voice of the GOP.
His name may not be on the ballot in November, but make no mistake: Nothing and no one will have a bigger impact on voter behavior. 🗳️
Cornyn has been in the Senate for 24 years & has raised $400+ million for Senate Republicans. He was GOP whip during first two years of Trump’s first admin. He came just a few votes short of becoming Senate majority leader 18 months ago.
His loss to Paxton tonight — and by such a wide margin — is another reflection of the widening gulf between Trump’s grip on the GOP base & his waning influence with Senate Republicans in Washington.
Based on the early vote numbers, there is a narrow path for Cornyn to win tonight. But more likely Paxton wins.
Watch the margin for Paxton. <3 will be bad news for GOP holding the senate. It will mean a lot of hardcore GOP voters refused to line up after Trump endorsement.
TONIGHT — VoteHub is tracking runoff elections in Texas.
The marquee contest is the Republican runoff for U.S. Senate, where Attorney General Ken Paxton is hoping Donald Trump’s backing will help him defeat incumbent Senator John Cornyn.
BREAKING: In a stunning admission on Fox News, Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn just admitted that Democrats and James Talarico will successfully be able to hammer Texas' likely Republican Senate nominee Ken Paxton for his transgressions. Woah.
❗️Cruz on Senate GOP’s meeting with Blanche on DOJ Fund: “There were fireworks at an epic level, and I got to say it's one of the roughest meetings I've seen in my entire time in the Senate…Fiery does not begin to cut it…they were screaming at the acting Attorney General”
News — Nearly 2-hour meeting with Acting AG Todd Blanche and Senate Republicans was incredibly hostile, per multiple attendees.
As many as 25 GOP senators spoke (this is very rare for these meetings), all in opposition to weaponization fund.
R’s pitched specific ideas such as dictating how the 5 commissioners are chosen & not allowing people convicted of violence against cops to be eligible for a payout.
🚨🚨BREAKING NEWS: THE SENATE will go home until June, leaving the reconciliation bill unfinished.
THUNE just told senators in the room.
All because of the DOJ weaponization fund.
House is expected to follow suit soon.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is facing stiff resistance over the $1.8 billlion in tense Senate GOP meeting, I’m told.
Rs also warn that a major immigration enforcement/reconcilation bill they want to pass could be derailed with the issue hovering
