We've recently recognized the power the media has over public perception. However journalists write to inform these communities and they're listening to the publics concerns on how they want to be identified and how certain term have stigmas that should not be fueled.

The style guide made me think about how the word diverse has recently changed its meaning for me it not only about race but other specific demographics.
When reporting on suicide be wary of the choice of words and always list at least one resource. #csun375
